Thirteen Questions: Jerome Katchmark
Jerome Katchmark is a full-time evening student due to graduate with an A.A.S. Paralegal Degree in March, 2010. Upon graduation he will be immediately continuing on toward his Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies. Jerome is a disabled Veteran with a significant hearing impairment corrected by the use of hearing aids. In addition to pursuing his paralegal studies Jerome also works part-time at the Brooklyn Center Career Services Department, where he enjoys helping students succeed by offering them the experience and wisdom he has gained throughout his life.
1. If you could be any super hero who would you be and why?
Neo (The Matrix). Neo was artificially programmed to possess the “Code”, which once understood, gave him the superpowers to manipulate the “Matrix”. The purpose of the “Code” was to free humans from the grip of evil. Neo was the people’s advocate.
2. What name do you sometimes wish you had been given?
I’ve always felt like I should have been named “Brent”
3. If you were not attending MSB/Globe University what do you think you would be doing now?
Working for some corporation as their Information Technology Manager.
4. Without considering party affiliation, what living American politician do you admire the most?
Former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.
5. Name one food that you have never eaten.

6. Have you ever had a conversation with a celebrity? If the answer is yes, who was the celebrity?
Yes, Comedian Carol Burnett
7. Do you text while driving?
I have this feature included with my cell phone, but have never texted a message in my life. So the answer is no.
8. If you could journey back to any decade in American history, which one would you go to?
I think that the early 1920’s would have been a great time period to experience.
9. Have you ever went to a movie and then left before it ended?
Can’t say that I have.
10. If you could have any job in the world starting tomorrow what job would you choose?

11. When was the last time you got lost somewhere?
About six months ago. My first trip to downtown St. Paul.
12. Are you better at remembering names or faces?
I think it depends on the circumstances, but generally I tend to remember faces first which triggers their name.
13. If you could live in any other nation besides the United States, where would you live?
In all honesty, I can’t think of any other nation that I would want to live in. If you were to ask me where I’d like to visit for six months to a year, I would say Italy. It is a beautiful country with great wine, food, and more great wine and food. Did I mention they have great wine?
