Congratulations to all of you on your success this quarter, and with Spring registration right around the corner, our Student Accounts office wanted to send out some important registration reminders. As always, if you need to make a payment, payments can be made online via the student portal links below or by contacting our Student Accounts office at 1-877-609-8889.
Also, please feel free to follow up with your Financial Aid Advisor for assistance today if you would look to explore alternative funding options in order to resolve a past due balance on your account. Please understand that if you are blocked from registration, you can still resolve your account and be allowed to register, but the purpose of this announcement is to notify you well in advance to give you time to take care of your student account so that you can be first in line to register on Tuesday, February 16th.

As the Financial Aid Office is bringing in funding, students may end up with excess amounts on their accounts. This will result in a refund. Refund checks are mailed out on Fridays. The two Fridays, in which the bulk of the checks will be mailed out, will be Friday January 29th, 2010 and February 5th, 2010. If there are any delays in bringing in funding, refund checks will be issued on a Friday after the delay is resolved.

 John Birkland - Academic Coordinator
The Globe Education Network is currently accepting online student tutor applications. Tutoring provides students with an opportunity to enhance their mastery of course materials, augment their teaching skills, and earn some extra money – all at the same time! It’s also a great résumé builder. Tutors typically commit one hour per week to assisting a peer in achieving their academic goals and are paid $8.50/hour for their time.
If you are interested, please download and complete the tutoring application, and then return it to me at jbirkland@globeuniversity.edu. I will review your application and place it on file here in the Online Education department. I will then contact you once I receive a tutoring request for help that fits your particular skill set. (Please note that in order to tutor a student in a particular course you must have previously taken it and earned a final grade of B or better.)
