Globe University Massage and Health Fitness Students Help Loosen Tight Muscles

On Sunday, August 30, the Health Fitness Specialist and Massage Therapy programs at the Woodbury Campus collaborated to provide post-race stretching and massage after the Woodbury Days Country Mile Half Marathon. The massage students who participated were Tyler Hutchins and Meghan Poferl.  (Health Fitness student names were unavailable.)

The students helped relieve the sore muscles of many runners.

When I started in the field of massage I also had personal training clients. As a personal trainer first you put your client through a rigorous workout then they can come to you for a massage to rub out their sore muscles.

As a karate instructor and massage therapist I often jokingly tell folks. First I beat ‘em up then I say here’s my card (for massage). Quite a racket;)

Health/fitness and massage are complementary professions. Each dovetails nicely into the other.
