The DEX students rocked yet another event!

The State Competition was held in Mankato, with the first round of competition on Wednesday.  The event concluded with the final competition on Thursday, and the Grand Award Ceremony was held last night.  As advisors, Franny Jensen and I couldn’t be more proud of them!  We are happy to announce that all of the students that attended State Competition are qualified to attend the International Career Development Conference in Louisville, Kentucky!  To qualify, the students had to place first, second or third - or be a finalist in their events.  Here is a recap of how they did!!

Ashlee Sorensen and Pat Hermes were finalists in the team event Business Ethics!

Ian Beck and Bridget Bork were also finalists in the team event Business Ethics!

Ashlee Sorensen was a finalist in the Human Resource Management event!

A huge congratulations to Bridget Bork who took FIRST PLACE in Marketing Management, and also received $100 from the DEX Alumni Association towards her registration to Nationals!  Bridget also received third place in the Sales Management Meeting event!

Britta Puppe and Paul Rupp were finalists in Sports and Entertainment Marketing!

Cameron Perket was a finalist in the Sales Management Meeting event!

Hyun Lee was a finalist in both the Human Resource Management and Marketing Management events!

Karissa Knutson took SECOND PLACE in the Management Institute event!

Matt Wolf was a finalist in the Retail Management event!

Patrick Wirkus was a finalist in the Entrepreneurship event!

Sean McNamara took FIRST PLACE in Retail Management, and also received $100 from the DEX Alumni Association towards his registration to the National Competition.

The International Career Development Conference will be held April 17-20 in Louisville, Kentucky.  At this event, the DEX students will have the incredible opportunity to not only compete against thousands of students from across the United States, but also participate in Professional Development Academies, network with hundreds of business and industry leaders, and expand their peer and business networks.

Please be sure to congratulate the students who attended the State Competition on their HUGE success!  I received numerous compliments from other DEX Advisors representing some of the 20+ other colleges in attendance at the State event on the professionalism, enthusiasm, and event performance of the Globe Woodbury DEX Members.
