On August 25,2010, Kyle Anderson, a certified Ferrier, came to speak to the equine class. He brought along “Lacey,” a paint horse for a hoof care and shoeing demo. Kyle did a 2 hour lecture and 7 students had the opportunity to assist him.

Globe University Woodbury participated in Woodbury Days on August 29, 2010. Our university sponsored the Country Mile which took place early Sunday morning. We also had volunteers walk in the parade that began at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. The theme of the float was “Celebrating 125 Years of Excellence” and was decorated with a birthday cake and streamers.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

Globe University Woodbury is participating in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. This is a three mile walk around Lake Nakomis on Saturday, October 9th at 9:30 a.m. If you would like to participate in the walk to fight breast cancer, please contact Brittany Peterson, Student Services Coordinator.

Thank you for attending Student Appreciation Day! Over 400 students, staff and faculty participated in the Hawaiian Luau event. Students enjoyed free food and games during the event. Overall, it was a huge success! Thank you for your attendance and participation in the event!

Twins Game Event!

Stop by the commons area tomorrow (Thursday) for the Twins game event! We will be showing the Twins game on a projection screen. There will be hot dogs and ball park snacks provided! The game will begin at 11:10 a.m. Student, faculty and staff are invited to wear Twins gear to school! Hope to see you there!

Book Club

The book selected for August is The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, written by Ben Sherwood. If you would like to join the book club please see Brittany Peterson, Student Services Coordinator. If you love reading and do not have time to participate in the club, you can read the book of the month on your own!


This book is #5 on the New York Times Bestsellers Paperback-Mass Market Fiction List! It is also being released as a movie on July 30, 2010.

Please have this read by August 31st if you are participating in club functions.
