M.A.D.D. 5K a SUCCESS!

Six staff members from the Richfield campus, as well as 2 staff family members, participated in the Mothers Against Drunk Driving 5K “Walk Like MADD” event on Saturday (6/12/10)! After many months of gearing up with fundraisers, MSB Richfield walked in the MADD 5K, raising $1392 for Mothers Against Drunk Driving, funds that will go toward a variety of educational programs geared at eliminating drunk driving in the Twin Cities community and nation-wide. A few of the fundraisers hosted on campus included: Pizza for MADD, when we held two pizza sales with all profits going toward the MADD cause; Parking for MADD, when employees with garage spots could donate their spot for a week and employees without spots could purchase them for $15 for the week; Breakfast for MADD, when Kristin Teagarden provided the staff with a variety of doughnuts, bagels, and muffins as well as juice and milk. They could donate money to MADD if they chose; and MADD About Jeans Week, when employees could pay $5 a day to wear jeans.
