One of our SS103 Global Citizenship Service Learning Groups will be attending Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids on September 2nd from 6-7:30pm.  At this point, the people attending are Ishmel Conway, Chris Munio, Stacy Olsen, Tadaci Johnson, Stephanie Ullom, Andrew Tyler, Stephanie Haugen, Tyrell Dives, David Haller, and Karli Koski.

Blaine’s chapter of Collegiate DECA recently teamed with the American Red Cross for a blood drive.  I was a great success!  It was held last Thursday, August 26 and we had nearly 30 donors, including 5 first time donors!  Thanks to everyone who played a part in making this blood drive a success!

The Blaine chapter of SAAMA is hosting a raffle! 

Money raised will help sponsor a team for a 10k mud run at Trollhaugen on September 11.  The mud run proceeds will benefit the MS Society.  We would love to have the support of the students and faculty. Come and join or cheer us on!!!!

Collegiate DECA will be hosting a blood drive with the help of the American Red Cross!  The blood drive will be held Thursday, August 26th.  You can sign up today at the Front Desk.  Times are available from 11am – 4pm.

Don’t forget to check your student email next Monday, August 9th for your Fall quarter course recommendations!  If the recommended schedule works let us know by replying to the email.  It’s that easy to preregister!  All preregistered student schedules are entered in the order they were received first thing on the first day of registration.  If the recommendations don’t work, let us know what will, either by email or appointment and get preregistered that way.

Hooray!… Room 202 will be our new Student Resource Center.  This room will not have classes scheduled in it and will remain unlocked for students to use as they please.  This will be a great place to study and tutor.  What else can we expect to see in the new Student Resource Center?

• Math Lab hours for additional help with Foundations courses, Algebra, and Topics
• Writing Center hours for additional help with any writing assignments
• Online Learning Coordinator hours for question with Blackboard or other online issues

1. Students may add or drop courses prior to the end of the fifth business day of the quarter…. THE ADD DROP PERIOD ENDS THIS FRIDAY!!!!

2. Attendance is tracked everyday.  If you must miss a class you should contact the Education Department and your instructor.

3. Students who miss two consecutive weeks of a course will be administratively WITHDRAWN from the course…

The Graduation ceremony will be this Thursday, June 24th at 6pm.  The ceremony will be held at the Courtyards of Andover.
